Welcome to 40th Cornwall Folk Festival to be held in Wadebridge, North Cornwall!

A family, friendly annual event set in the market town of Wadebridge which lies on the banks of the tidal river Camel.

Alongside the river is the Camel Trail - a "mecca" for cyclists, ramblers and wildlife watchers alike who can follow the trail from its higher reaches of Bodmin Moor down to the sea at Padstow, that quaint fishing port made famous by local resident - the TV Chef, Rick Stein. Nearby are the golden sandy beaches of North Cornwall and an opportunity to try out "our favourite pastime" down here - Surfing! Clotted cream teas and Cornish pasties may also spring to mind!

The Folk Festival started out back in 1972 and various teams have organised this event to make it the success it is today. This year will be a 40 year Celebration.

A host of "up and coming" new Cornish acts playing alongside some of those who presence have graced our stages over all those years. A party atmosphere is fully anticipated - so why not come along and join in by performing or just listen or watch the fun?

A full weekend of street entertainment, workshops, childrens events, concerts, folk clubs, ceilidhs, cajun dances and free sessions are on offer at various venues around Wadebridge.

This years event is being jointly organised by Mike Walford and Brian Flexman of Hobgoblin Music Shop in Wadebridge . We are delighted to be supported and sponsored again by

Hobgoblin Music, Skinners Brewery, St. Austell Ales, North Cornwall Advertiser, Wadebridge Town Council and a host of local traders and businesses around Wadebridge whose contribution has made it possible to give this event its longevity!
